Counselling and psychotherapy can be of significant benefit to anyone going through a difficult time or suffering from symptoms which make daily life hard to cope with or even unbearable. I am trained in integrative counselling and psychotherapy which comes from the belief that no one theory is broad enough to account for the complexities of human beings. I believe, along with many in my field, that the relationship with your therapist is more important than any therapeutic model and is the single most important element in the process of healing and growth. My clinical work has also shown me that a good therapeutic relationship based on openness, honesty and trust combined with awareness, compassion and acceptance of ourselves as human beings can lead to profound difference in the way we experience ourselves and our relationships with others.
